Publications about women are often published with the intention of defining them. Black Boots Ink is taking a different approach. Each photograph is an individual statement about women and as an essay the images undertake a discussion with the viewer using photographs to create dialogue.

This is a wonderful idea. I so do not fit into the media’s ideal of a woman. I look forward to this sharing of ideas…

Thank you so much for sharing this with me! It’s great to see you put these images on the web where everyone can see them and enjoy it. I love the pictures of all the women especially the ones working at the hotel ballroom. great shot and what a story they each probably have. Love the fierce abuelita at the end too, que vivan las abuelitas!!!

Thank you for sharing. I think it is a great thing when you can put together a body of work with so many artists leaving ego aside and focus strictly on the work. There are so many strong images here ranging from glamorous to raunchy/real (sometimes within one image) and yet they sit together seamlessly, like a woman who envelops an entire gamut in her being.

Thanks for inviting me to view your site. I’m amazed at the work and your accomplishments that you have on here along with your colleagues. Some of these photos are very inspirational in a view from “out of the box” and you have captured the eyes of many in your Greyhound Series. This is an amazing piece of work.
