Strangers and Neighbors

I think I search out sadness in my photography so I can better understand it inside of me. I never go out hoping to find it. I look for beautiful things, and I see beauty in despair, regret, and longing. These people are alone at the moment I snap the photo. I’ve walked down these streets and seen all types of peoples, but I was most drawn to the subjects of these photographs. No matter where they have been, or where they are going, when I see them they are alone, and I am too.
